Inauguración de una Exposición de La Unión Latina de Chicago - Saturday, April 25

Insight Arts and the Latino Union of Chicago invite the Chicago community to the inauguration of a special exhibition highlighting work by the Latino Union on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM at the Center for New Possibilities. This is a free event.
The Common Cup Community Gallery presents a visual exhibition of artwork created by day laborers from The Albany Park Workers’ Center, a non-profit project of the Latino Union of Chicago that provides a safe and orderly space for employers and homeowners to find reliable workers at a fair price. Various projects of the Latino Union will also be highlighted with photography. The exhibit will be on view from April 21 to May 21, 2009.
The Latino Union collaborates with low-income immigrant workers to develop the tools necessary to collectively improve social and economic conditions. Their mission is accomplished by developing leadership from within the immigrant worker community, developing feasible alternatives to the injustices immigrant workers face, and building the larger movement for immigrant worker rights.
Come out and learn more about work that Insight Arts and the Latino Union are doing, meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments and hors d'œuvres. As always, donations are appreciated.
