Synopsis:

A middle-aged Filipino couple are having their annual dance party.  Mixed with food and their usual rhythmic gait through tango and cha-cha, they gather friends as they always have to celebrate life and honor their only son Boyett.  To the outside world, the dance party may seem celebratory and candid, but to their inner selves it is a night of healing, reconciliation and catharsis from an experience that altered their lives forever.  The play intimates hidden emotions about gender and sexuality, not your typical dinner table talk, especially in Filipino-American households.

CIRCA-PINTIG, celebrating its 20th Anniversary, is a not-for-profit community arts organization dedicated to the development and popularization of community arts that speak of the immigrant experience withing the changing multicultural landscape of America.
